NORTEL TO SUPPLY GLOBAL VOICE NETWORK TO SITA OF FRANCE

NORTEL, a subsidiary of NORTHERN TELECOM, Canada's biggest telecommunications group, has been awarded a contract worth USD 20 million to supply an "Intelligent Global Voice Network" to SITA, the French group which is the world leader in telecommunications for the aerospace sector. The network will cover Europe, Asia-Pacific and North America. It will provide voice, data and fax messages. SITA (Societe Internationale de Telecommunications aeronautiques) provides telecommunications services for most airlines in the world.
