RUSSIA STRIKES UP DIALOGUE WITH EUROPE ON AVIATION ISSUES.

A delegation of the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC) met with the state Civil Aviation Authority of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation in Moscow on 6 March. The discussions concentrated on safety, security, the environment and technical operating requirements issues with a view to harmonising both parties' practices and rules.
It was decided to establish joint expert working groups on flight safety and environment issues and to convene the first meetings in April or May in Paris.The parties also agreed to meet again at executive level in the second half of the year to continue their talks.
