VW BOOSTS PRESENCE IN UNITED ARAB EMIRATES.

Volkswagen is planning to boost its presence in the United Arab Emirates, especially in the luxury car segment, and to agree partnerships with local parts manufacturers, a spokesperson for the company said on October 7. The group has signed a letter of intention with investment holding company Mubadala Development Company (MDC), which belongs to the Emirates ruling family, the spokesperson said.
VW plans to work with local parts manufacturers "to jointly produce parts for our utility vehicles, for example", they added.
