ANTI-TRUST PROCEDURE IN AIR TRANSPORT.

The European Commission confirmed, on 21 December, that it has sent a statement of objections to companies suspected of having participated in a cartel in the air freight industry, in violation of Article 81 of the EC Treaty. The statement of objections is one of the steps in an anti-trust procedure, by which the Commission informs companies of suspected punishable behaviour.
Concerned parties can respond in writing or in a hearing. (ISM)
