The innovative Open Sky agreement, which entered into force on 30 March 2008, makes it possible for US and European companies to connect all the airports of their choice from any city whatsoever in Europe and the US. "British Airways operates flights from Paris and Amsterdam to the United States and we operate from Heathrow," explained Pierre-Henri Gourgeon, CEO of Air France and Air France-KLM, following the signature of a transatlantic joint venture with Delta (see separate article).
