HUNTER FAN GOES INDEPENDENT

Hunter-Melnor Inc. was dissolved Sept. 23 and its two main components, Hunter Fan Co. of Memphis and Melnor Industries Inc. of Moonachie, N.J., have become separate companies independent of each other.

The announcement was made by Robert E. Beasley Jr., president and chief executive officer of Hunter Fan Co., and James M. Locker, president and chief executive officer of Melnor Industries.

Hunter-Melnor in late August announced its intention to dissolve its holding company structure and reconstitute the two companies as separate entities.

Hunter-Melnor Inc. was formed in Dec. 1986 when then-privately owned Hunter Fan Co. acquired Melnor Industries and Kenroy International, both also privately owned....
