* At Merritt Island Ace Hardware, Merritt Island, Fla., you'll hear a lot of talk about the nuts and bolts--of football, that is.
The store is located approximately 250 yards from Merritt Island High School, whose football team has been the state champ in its division for several years. Owner Dick Beal hires many MIHS students, including a significant number of student athletes.
But Beal says personal involvement with the team is only one of the reasons his customers and employees talk touchdowns.
To show his continued support for the school and the small community, Beal sponsors radio broadcasts of the football team's games.
Beal sponsors the entire broadcast, but his store gets specific mention in two of the game's commercial spots...
