Ace Hardware Corp. promoted David Hodnik, who has been executive vice president, to the additional title of chief operating officer.
As coo, Hodnik will have all officers, except for the vice president, general counsel and secretary to the board, reporting directly to him. He will be responsible for the overall day-to-day operations of the company.
Since joining Ace as an accountant in 1972, virtually all functional departments have reported either directly or indirectly to him.
In other news, Rita Kahle has been promoted from vice president-controller to vice president-finance, a position that will include responsibility for the treasury function.
