National Retail Hardware Assn. Pres. Bruce Johnson will open another Johnson's Ace Hardware store in 1998 in response to the changing do-it-yourself products' market. The retail business continues to be a family business with his father, W.A. Johnson, as the original founder and with his son, Chad Johnson, already involved with the store's management. Store sales increased by 30% in 1996 while 1997 sales appears to be good also.
