Sears names Robert Rodgers new president for the Great Indoors.(Sears, Roebuck and Co.)(Brief Article)

Robert Rodgers, a 28-year veteran of Sears, Roebuck and Co., has been promoted to president of The Great Indoors, where he will be responsible for operations, merchandising and marketing. Prior to the appointment, Rodgers served as vice president and general merchandise manager for The Great Indoors, which is Sears' latest concept in home decorating and remodeling. The first store opened in a Denver suburb in February, and the next store is expected to open in the Detroit market.

Rodgers succeeds Jerry Post, who has recently served as president of both The Great Indoors and Sears Hardware Stores. Post will now focus on his role at Sears Hardware Stores, which now has more than 250 stores in 19 states.
