* Ace Hardware and OurHouse.com have terminated their co-marketing agreement and canceled plans for in-store kiosks. While Ace continues to supply tools and other hardware items to the on-line retailer, the cooperative announced that its retail stores will no longer be asked to handle returns, deliveries and assemblies for OurHouse orders. Ace has also disbanded its dealer advisory committee that dealt with the Ace-OurHouse partnership.
A spokeswoman for Ace said that the decision to not install Internet kiosks in Ace stores was based on in-store tests that were completed at the end of last year.
