* A Coalition of consumer activists released a report that criticizes The Home Depot and Lowe's for selling lumber treated with arsenic.

The Environmental Working Group and the Healthy Building Network say they tested wood for sale at stores in 13 cities and found alarmingly high levels of arsenic.

The consumer groups said they measured how much arsenic rubs off the wood by swabbing boards with wipes.

After sending these samples to labs, the groups said they discovered the levels were nearly 25 times the allowable amount of arsenic that the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has proposed for drinking water.
