LaGuardia slot extension. (Americas).(The FAA slot lottery)(Brief Article)

THE FAA has extended until November 2004 its slot lottery exemptions allocation at New York's LaGuardia. The extension of the `slottery' by the FAA effectively allows it more time to identify, and make the transition to, longer term forecasting and `demand-led' solutions at the airport. The decision has been influenced by the fall in traffic, which has negated the need for a speedy resolution of new rules governing future capacity.
