Thai Air Cargo formed.(Qantas Airways and CTI Holding of Thailand)(Brief Article)

Qantas Airways and CTI Holding of Thailand have formed Thai Air Cargo. A new Asian cargo airline based in Bangkok, it is 51%-owned by Thailand's CTI Holding and 49% by Qantas. It will:

* primarily serve Asian sectors within five to six flying hours of Bangkok;

* operate high capacity MD-11 freighter aircraft of 86 tonnes of cargo load; and

* initially target markets in Japan, China, India and Europe, where it will establish sales offices.

Its first flight is scheduled for mid-2005.
