U.S. Strips Ambassador Indyk of Security Clearance.

The United States Department of State announced it has suspended the security clearance of its ambassador to Israel, Martin Indyk. The explanation for the move is the current investigation against the ambassador for alleged security violations. The Washington Post reported that Indyk used unclassified laptop computers to prepare his work while in transit, possibility contributing to the decision to remove his clearance.

According to State Department officials, the FBI is involved in the investigation against Indyk, but it was pointed out that the ambassador is cooperating and there is no suspected espionage, but as a result of the State Department move, the ambassador may not handle classified materials and must be escorted...
