Robert Oswald was appointed by Robert Bosch GmbH as the new chairman of the company's $2-billion North American division. Robert Bosch GmbH plans to improve its production operations in North America by manufacturing electronic sensors, headlamps, microelectronic control systems and lighting components. Robert Bosch GmbH has also acquired the Bendix brake division for $1.5 billion from AlliedSignal plants. The Bendix brake division will provide technological expertise in antilock brake systems.
Robert Bosch GmbH is bullish on America.
The German parts maker is opening its purse strings to finance a rapid expansion of production capacity on this continent.
