Wholesale used-vehicle prices are climbing, according to data compiled by the nation's two largest auto auction companies.
The average used-vehicle wholesale price in October was $8,961, 0.5 percent above the September average price of $8,918, according to ADESA Corp.'s Analytical Services.
The October average was 1.0 percent below the October 2002 average price of $9,052.
Used-vehicle prices bottomed out in April but have been inching up since.
ADESA says the "traditional'' car segment, mainly full-sized sedans, showed the highest gain in October. Compared with September, the average price for traditional models increased 6.4 percent to $8,954.The average price in the full-sized van segment was down...
