Autoliv to make steering wheels in China plant
STOCKHOLM - Autoliv Inc. is establishing a steering wheel production plant in China. The supplier says it will be the company's global steering wheel plant.
Autoliv is spending $10 million on the project. Production, which will begin next year, will be 1 million units annually, though there is the potential to increase that to 2 million within three years.
The plant will be Autoliv's sixth manufacturing plant in China.
Autoliv is a safety systems supplier based in Sweden.
