Alcoa, Ferrari will develop space frames
PITTSBURGH - Alcoa Inc. and Ferrari have formed a partnership to develop aluminum space frame technology for Ferrari vehicles. Alcoa also will open a space frame plant in Modena, Italy, in the second quarter of 2006.
Alcoa, which is based here, supplies electrical systems, space frames, design, sheet/plates, bumper beams, crash management and roof systems.
Modine reports quarterly loss
RACINE, Wis. - Modine Manufacturing Co. reported a second-quarter 2006 fiscal loss of $36.1 million on revenues of $404.2 million, compared with earnings of $14.1 million on revenue of $306.7 million in the year-ago period. The quarter ended Sept. 26.
