Land Rover boss leaving
Land Rover managing director Matthew Taylor will step down in mid-April. Company veteran Phil Popham will replace him.
Popham, 40, has held several positions at Land Rover and Jaguar and now oversees Land Rover's European operations.
He worked for Land Rover North America as vice president of marketing in 1998 and 1999.
Taylor, 45, is leaving the auto industry. A Land Rover spokesman declined to state Taylor's new venture.
Land Rover sales in the United States reached 46,175 last year, up 30 percent from 2004.
