Design director leaves Ferrari
Ken Okuyama, the man credited with designing the Ferrari Enzo, Rossa and 612 Scaglietti, has been replaced as design director at Pininfarina. Chairman Andrea Pininfarina will be director of design until a replacement is named. Pininfarina said in a statement that the move "comes as a result of the various external activities Ken Okuyama was carrying out beyond his responsibilities within Pininfarina.'' The company provided no details, and Okuyama, 46, could not be reached for comment. Okuyama worked for Pininfarina in the 1990s before becoming transportation design chairman at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, Calif., in 2000. He became design director at Pininfarina 14 months ago.
