Tecstar will make Chevy, GMC pickup parts

LOS ANGELES - Tecstar Automotive Group said it will produce factory-authorized components for the 2007 and 2008 Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon mid-sized pickups.

The second-stage manufacturing program for the trucks is in Tecstar's plant in Shreveport, La.

Tecstar, a unit of Quantum Fuel Systems Technologies Worldwide Inc., of Irvine, Calif., supplies powertrain engineering, systems integration and manufacturing of packaged fuel systems.
