Green vehicles are becoming must-have tools for companies with youthful brands, environmental images and mobile marketing strategies.
Companies such as beverage bottlers and solar-energy system manufacturers are investing in environmentally friendly vehicles to transport their promotional roadshows around the country.
Such expressions of "greenness'' connect with the companies' target demographics and attract potential customers.
"It's important because you're trying to practice what you preach,'' said Jeremy Black, global brand director for Sambazon, which sells beverages made from acai berries grown in the Amazon rain forest.
