Blake McKinley makes the 70-mile trip from his residence at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor to his parents' home in Romeo, Mich., once a week. But he doesn't own a car or rely on traditional rentals.
"I had a car on campus here for a while, but I just found it to be a hassle,'' he says.
