TRW will open motor plant in Slovakia

NOVE MESTO, Slovakia - TRW Automotive Holdings Corp. plans to open a plant here in March.

The plant will make precision motors used in electrically assisted steering systems for TRW customers in Europe and Asia.

TRW, of suburban Detroit, makes steering, suspension, braking and engine components; fasteners; occupant restraint systems; and electronic safety and security systems.

Ricardo, Delta form venture

TAIPEI, Taiwan - Ricardo PLC and Delta Electronics Inc. will jointly develop and supply automotive electronics.

Ricardo will provide r&d resources and intellectual-property protection; Delta brings electronic manufacturing resources to the alliance.
