The nation's two largest auto auction companies are offering their services to former Chrysler LLC dealers who are reinventing themselves as used-car dealers.
Manheim and ADESA Auctions are contacting former Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep dealers to explain how the companies can help them buy and sell used vehicles online, liquidate inventory and line up floorplanning and other services aimed specifically at independent used-car dealers.
Nick Peluso, Manheim's senior vice president for customer management, says many of those dealers had been surviving on used-car sales for the last several months anyway.
