* It was incorporated in January 2005 and has been built by acquisitions.
* It owns 3 construction equipment companies. Tengzhong makes special-purpose vehicles such as concrete-mixing trucks and equipment for the energy sector.
* Tengzhong is a subsidiary of the investment company Sichuan Huatong Investment Holdings.
* Huatong's president is Li Yan, a Sichuan native in his late 40s. The family also controls 2 chemical companies.
