Lotus Development Corp. has formed "an exclusive strategic alliance" with Accountemps to develop a computerized testing system to evaluate Lotus 1-2-3 proficiency of temporary employees placed by Accountemps in thousands of business worldwide.

Accountemps, a Menlo Park, Calif., division of Robert Half International Inc., is the largest temporary staffing services firm for accounting and bookkeeping professionals. Last year, it had 50,000 temporary employees and a network of 150 offices worldwide.
