IXI lands big sale to Schwab. (Charles Schwab and Co.) (Market Watch)

IXI LANDS BIG SALE TO SCHWAB... Santa Cruz Operation subsidiary IXI Corp., a provider of UNIX graphical interface software, has just sold 7,000 licenses to popular discount brokerage firm Charles Schwab and Co. Inc. IXI says its softsware is part of a new corporate-wide information system Schwab is building to issue over-the-phone quotes.
The look and feel of the trading systems at Schwab will be based upon IXI Motif, X. desktop and Deskworks, "resulting in a fail-safe, easy to-use, point-and-click interface for traders, brokers, and other customer service personnel," IXI says.
