GROUP 1 BUYS DOCUMENT TOOL... Lanham, Md.-based Group 1 Software is buying Archetype Systems Ltd. of the United Kingdom and its US subsidiary, Archetype Systems Inc. Archetype specializes in products and services to support advanced applications of electronic, individualized document preparation.
Its clients include American Express, General Electric Credit and EDS Neodata. Group 1's offerings include mail management, personalization and database marketing products for PC, midrange and mainframe platforms.
