SDRC lands $8m Boeing deal. (Structural Dynamics Research Corp. contract with Boeing Co. for product management software) (Market Watch)

The Boeing Co. has just selected Structural Dynamics Research Corp. as its primary supplier of product data management (PDM) software and consulting services. Boeing placed an initial order valued at $8 million, including $3.75 million for PDM software and $4.25 million for services. SDRC says orders could approach $20 million over the next three years, making it one of the largest orders in its history.
According to Ronald Friedsam, SDRC chairman, PDM software is "essential in supporting business process redesign and is one of the fastest-growing software market segments in our industry. Boeing joins several world-class manufacturers who have selected SDRC to provide this critical technology."
