Britain's Civil Aviation Authority has chosen Platinum Software Corp.'s Platinum SQL Enterprise as its organization-wide financial system. EDS played a role in the selection process. SQL Enterprise's General Ledger module is expected to be fully live this fall, with a shift from the mainframe system to client/server that is completely transparent to users. Other modules, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Fixed Assets, are expected to be fully implemented by April 1996. The CAA is comparable to the US Federal Aviation Administration.
