Global sales of connectivity, management software products grow 32 percent in 1995.

Worldwide sales of connectivity software products such as PC TCP/IP, SNA gateways, and host access clients rose 25 percent to just over $2 billion in 1995, driven by expanded use of TCP/IP across the enterprise. Sales of distributed management products such as management platforms, LAN management applications and PC administration suites that help users gain greater control over dispersed systems and networks, increased by 60 percent to $642 million, according to a just released report from International Data Corp. (IDC).
