Business Objects named leading ISV in end-used query and reporting market. (independent software vendor)

Research firm International Data Corp. has named San Jose-based Business Objects the leading independent software vendor (ISV) in end-user query and reporting. IDC's recently published Information Access Tools: 1996 Worldwide Markets and Trends study places Business Objects in the number one revenue position among ISVs in the end-user query and reporting tools market.
According to IDC, "Business Objects grew 120 percent and now leads ISVs with 11 percent of total worldwide revenue among all vendors. Its next two closest competitors each had less than half the sales of Business Objects." IDC's report finds that in 1995 the worldwide information access tools market grew to $5.6 billion, "largely driven by the maturation and broader acceptance of new generation...
