Harnessing the unique capabilities of parallel processing, a new database system technology for the enterprise data warehouse market from Hitachi Computer Products (America) called THOR (The Hitachi Object Relational Database System) is designed to bring increased processing power to resource-intensive decision support applications such as data mining and online analytical processing (OLAP).
