NextHop Technologies Inc., the definitive source for network software solutions, has announced a new product family, GateD NGS 2.0, a complete set of Layer 2 switching software. Combining this new Layer 2 switching software with GateD NGC (Next Generation Carrier) routing and MPLS (Multiprotocol Label Switching) software will enable network equipment manufacturers to acquire an integrated Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking solution for their systems--speeding their time-to-market with new products, and reducing their development and support costs.
