Top accountancy firm to the energy industry. (Ernst and Young)

Ernst & Young, the international accountancy and consultancy firm, has been voted best and most professional accountancy firm to the energy industry in the 1994 Petroleum Economist Awards. It is the fourth time in successive years that the firm has won this award. Runners-up to Ernst & Young were Arthur Andersen and Price Waterhouse.

Petroleum Economist surveyed Chief Executive and Finance Directors from the world's leading oil and gas companies in the UK, the USA, and a number of other countries. In the past year, the firm has opened an office in oil-rich Azerbaijan, expanded its operations in Kazakhstan, Vietnam and China, as well as working on various energy assignments in the UK, including studies on renewable energy, gas marketing and the future of British Coal.
