The Siemens Power Generation Group says it continues its activities to enhance competitiveness. After publishing a comprehensive programme in mid-March on integration of the fossil power generation business acquired from Westinghouse, Siemens has announced plans to optimise its engineering activities, both in fossil and nuclear power generation. Restructuring is intended to achieve further process and productivity improvements and secure the future of engineering activities at their current locations in the long term.
