Doctors, community leaders and concerned citizens crammed into the Earlton area June 16 to carry out their protest of a proposed soil and solid waste incinerator plant in Kirkland Lake. An estimated 300 vehicles from a number of Highway 11 communities converged on Earlton to hear speeches from the Public Concern Timiskaming citizens group, the Aboriginal community and Timiskaming-Cochrane MPP David Ramsay in railing against Bennett Environmental Inc.
