Wicks Business Information (Norwalk, CT), an operation formed earlier this year by the Wicks Group, has acquired Treasury & Risk Management magazine from CFO, Inc. (New York), a unit of The Economist Group: and Pearson Plc. No terms of the deal were given.
Launched by CFO in 1991, the acquired title is published 11 times a year with a controlled circulation of 46,000 corporate treasurers and chief financial officers. Its mission is to show "how to weigh costs against service quality and benefits" and includes information on how to minimize financial risk and obtain capital at optimum rates. Editorial Includes information on such topics as pension funds, derivatives, insurance, money manager selection, cash management, leasing and employee benefits.
