LexisNexis launches "Offline Civil & Criminal Records".

LexisNexis (Dayton, OH) has launched Offline Civil & Criminal Records, an off line court document investigative tool for the insurance industry whereby investigators can obtain criminal and civil docket information from almost any county court in the U.S., even those offline.

LexisNexis noted that potential applications for the new service include: identifying the possible criminal history of a policy holder, claimant or witness; verifying the accuracy/veracity of information provided by a claimant or witness; discovering evidence of financial distress that might indicate a motive for fraud; and, uncovering evidence indicating multiple claim activity for a single incident or injury.
