The American Bar Association (Chicago, IL) Section of Science and Technology Law has published Information Security: A Legal, Business and Technical Handbook. It written to "assist with the challenge of implementing a strategic security plan" and includes basic information on such topics as security threats, laws creating compliance issues for organizations, possible criminal and civil claims that impose liability for information security breaches, and risk management.

It also covers federal and state laws and regulations relating to IT security, responding to security incidents, standards, best practices and guidelines. The book costs $60.
