Oxford University Press (OUP; Cary NC) has published "International Human Rights Lexicon," a 470-page softbound book that presents a survey of the scope and significance of international human rights law. Rather than giving an overview of the field, the book examines specific cases involving the range of human rights issues, including issues dealing with children, the death penalty, housing, culture, sexuality and terrorism.

OUP said the book is designed to provide the necessary background to understand, evaluate and deploy human rights as a strategy for change in the contemporary world. It costs $35.
