The University of Pittsburgh School of Law (Pittsburgh, PA) has launched the "Journal of Environmental and Public Health Law," an annual journal whose goal is to provide a forum for the discussion of legal issues relating to environmental and public health law. It claims to be the first and only law journal or review devoted to issues that bridge the gap between environmental law and public health law.

The premier 2006 issue includes articles on the regulation of emission of greenhouse gases and hazardous air pollutants from motor vehicles, and boundaries for air quality control under the Clean Air Act, as well as commentaries on regulations dealing with ballast water discharge and public health approaches to obesity, including litigation and legislation.
