Caravan/Prague: The Uneasy Road to Change, Zack Winestine [DVD]. In 2000, independent filmmaker Zack Winestine--and his camera--travelled 800 kilometres across Europe with a group of over 100 anarchist cyclists to take part in demonstrations against the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank in Prague.
The resulting documentary highlights the evolving dynamics that characterize a group aspiring to autonomous and non-hierarchical ideals. The film occasionally comes across as an outsider's perspective on the events that it seeks to document. However, it is also rich in sequences where roughly cut footage effectively captures the dramatic interplay between the cyclists' struggles and spontaneous demonstrations of joy.
