Malaysian pay TV provider Astro All Asia Networks has launched an innovative interactive television coupon scheme, a first for Malaysia. Astro has partnered Malaysia's Public Bank to provide new interactive service for its subscribers that allows them to download shopping coupons that may be redeemed at participating retail outlets across the country. Subscribers insert their Public Bank Visa credit card into the card slot of their decoder, select the desired coupon and download its details onto the card. Subscribers may then redeem the coupon at participating retail outlets when they present their credit card for payment.
