Research on business communication in Europe has solidified since about 1995 and was evidenced in the creation of an official European Region by the Assn of Business Communication in 1996. The lack of a European journal whose focus is solely on original research on business communications has been offset by regular meetings held by European academics and professionals that are keen on enhancing business communication.
