Marking One Millionth Grant

The Fidelity Charitable Gift Fund has crossed the one millionth grant mark to U.S. nonprofit organizations since its inception in 1992, bringing total grants to more than $4.4 billion and benefiting 84,000 nonprofit organizations nationwide. Year-over-year Gift Fund donor contributions and new accounts are increasing. In fact, year-to-date through June 30, 2004, the Gift Fund has seen a 31 percent increase in donor contributions and 52 percent increase in the number of new Giving Accounts opened compared to the same period in 2003.
