Industry: Email Alert RSS FeedPlain English Narrative
Accounting Technology, April, 2008
The SEC has voted unanimously to propose rule amendments requiring investment advisors to prepare and deliver to clients and prospective clients a narrative brochure that is written in plain English. These would be made available to the general public through the SEC sponsored Investment Advisor Public Disclosure Web site. The narrative would publicly disclose to investors considerably more detailed information about an investment advisor’s business practices, conflicts of interest, as well as disciplinary history.
