The results are in. And the winner is: the finger. If biometric technology is going to take off, people are saying they want the power in the tip of their fingers. Biometrics, a security technology that uses physical attributes for identification, may finally be on the cusp of the mainstream, industry experts say.

New York-based International Biometric Group released a report in early January indicating that biometric solutions are becoming increasingly accurate and reliable.Technological improvements have allowed users to better assess their preferences, and traditional passwords proved to be the least desirable.
